`shar' makes a so-called shell archive out of many files, preparing
them for transmission by electronic mail services. `unshar' helps
unpacking shell archives after reception. This is release 3.52.3.

Even if the core of the programs is initially derived from public
domain, some modules and other code sections are freely borrowed
from other GNU distributions, bringing this new distribution wholly
under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

The sources boiled much, even if the algorithms stayed essentially
the same. So please consider this as a BETA RELEASE and be careful,
until we iron out all the bugs I might have recently introduced.

See the file COPYING for copying conditions.
See the file THANKS for a list of contributors.
See the file NEWS for a list of major changes in the current release.
See the file INSTALL for compilation and installation instructions.

Your feedback will help us to make a better and more portable
product. Mail suggestions and bug reports (including documentation
errors) for this program to bug-gnu-utils@prep.ai.mit.edu. You might
