Utilization Modify Display Dialog

Overview:

This Utilization dialog controls the modification of an existing
utilization displays. The dialog allows the user to change
the name and the horizontal and vertical labels of the currently
selected display. In addition, if the display shows individual
processing elements, the user can specify an arbitrary subset of
all elements to view using a number line.

Number Line:

The number line represents all processing elements. Selected individual
elements are highlighted using a thick point on the scrollable number line;
adjacent selected points are shown as a selected range on the line.

The number line can be in either "Select" mode or "Deselect" mode.
When in "Select" mode, any points which are not currently highlighted
can be highlighted by clicking or dragging on the number line itself.
When in "Deselect" mode, clicking or dragging on currently selected points
removes them from the current selection.

There are two selection modes for the number line. The number line
can be in "Point" mode or in "Range" mode. When in "Point" mode,
clicking the left mouse button on the number line itself causes a
point to be either selected or deselected. Dragging the curser
in this mode simply moves the point across the number line.
When in "Range" mode, dragging a selection or deselection point
removes the entire range defined by the drag from the current selection.

For a number line representing a large range, only a subset of the
number line can be shown at any given time. To view other portions
of the number line, or to zoom in or out of individual sections of
the line, the number line supports the concept of a "focus." To
change the focus, the user can drag the focus arrows which appear
above the number line to define the endpoints of the new focus.
Pressing the "Change To Arrows" Button modifies the subrange of the
number line which is shown to become the portion between the focus
arrows. Other buttons allow the user to change the focus to show the
entire number line ( "Expand Completely" ) as well as to zoom or
expand by a factor of 2.
