What does it check?

We need a utility to check our transputer system for defect processors, can
it do that?
If not: Is there some software available that can do?

(It's a Parsytec transputer system connected via a BBK-S4 link adapter to a
Sun Sparc Station, so at least that fits.)

It's really frustrating to search random-like hardware failures by trial and
error. (I _know_ it's far more likely to be a software failure if a system
does something wrong, but this really looks like a hardware/system software
problem, and I'd like to isolate the defect nodes.)

Thanks for any help
