                 17th WoTUG Technical Meeting

                Bristol, 11th - 13th April 1994
                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Seventeenth Technical Meeting of WoTUG will take place from the 11th to the
13th April 1994 at the University of Bristol. The aim of this meeting is to
exchange experiences and knowledge between international delegates interested
in the all aspects of parallel computing. The meeting will comprise a number of
different activities including:

1. Two invited speakers (David May, Inmos Ltd and Paul Visser, ACE bv) and high
quality refereed papers, presented in a single stream. Participants at the
meeting will receive the proceedings at conference registration which are to be
published by IOS Press;

2. Meetings of Special Interest Groups which include: transputer hardware,
education & training, image processing and vision, Artificial Intelligence,
environments & development tools, numerical methods, real-time;

3. Two tutorials will be held: "The Inmos ATM Demonstrator" and "The Twente
approach to system level embedded controller design";

4. An exhibition of the latest parallel processing equipment by leading
manufacturers.

The conference dinner will be a Medieval style banquet held at a castle in
Wales (all dietary requirements will be catered for).

Choice of tutorials
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There is a choice of two tutorials. "The Inmos ATM Demonstrator" will discuss
the Inmos approach to building asynchronous transfer mode system. "Twente
Hierarchical Embedded System Implementation by Simulation" covers the complete
design trajectory from requirements definition to code generation for an
embedded control system.
