If memory serves me right, the 'X' option tells mtest to display details
of the memory test, yes?  So, if you indeed have no external memory on
the indicated node, the "error" reported by mtest is just the reason that
the memory test ended.  That is, there is no error in the program or on your
transputer board, it's just the way that mtest reports the results of the
memory test.
Doesn't the semi-colon indicate that the memory space wraps around ???
If so, then why the error ?  Hmm... I think now I've confused myself.
