The conference aim of CEE 96 (Concurrent Engineering Europe 1996) is to
continue upon the success of CEEDA 94 and CEEDA 92 (under the then tutelage
of Prof.Saad Medhat).CEE'96 aims to identify the progress that has been
made in Concurrent Engineering over the last year, highlighting, the
affliated research done in the emerging fields of synthetic environments
and micromachining.

The conference will feature one Keynote Speaker and two Invited Speakers
Focusing on the main tracks of the Conference, invited speakers will give
special in-depth presentations in plenary sessions, which will be included
in the Proceedings of the Conference.

Best Paper Awards
The 1996 CEE Conferences will award the best papers, one in each track.
>From these papers the best overall paper will be chosen. The awarded papers
will be published in an International Journal, if necessary after
incorporating modifications to the paper.

Who should attend

The conference will be of direct benefit to Process, Production, Design or
Development Managers in Manufacturing, Strategic Directors, Quality Managers
and Technical Directors. The Conference will also be of interest to
industrial and Academic Researchers.

DEADLINES AND REQUIREMENTS

Extended Abstracts (2-3 pages for full, 1 page for short papers typewritten
without drawings and tables) are due to arrive in quadruplicate at the

before December 15th, 1995

Only original Papers, written in English, which have not previously been
published elsewhere will be accepted. In case you want to organize a panel
discussion, please contact the Program Chairmen.

Authors are expected to register early (at a reduced fee) and to attend the
Conference at their own expense to present the accepted papers. If early
registration and payment are not made, the paper will not be published in
the Conference Proceedings. In the case of multiple authors, one author
should be identified as the person who will act as the correspondent for the
paper.

Abstracts will be reviewed by three members of the International Program
Committee for full papers and one member for short papers. Notification of
acceptance or rejection will be sent by January 15th, 1996.

An author kit with complete instructions for preparing a camera-ready copy
for the Proceedings will be sent to authors of accepted abstracts.
The camera ready copy of the papers must be in by March 1st, 1996. Only the
full papers, which are expected to be five pages long, will be published in
the Conference Proceedings. In order to guarantee a high-quality Conference,
the full papers will be reviewed as well, to check whether the suggestions
of the program committee have been incorporated. The nominees for the best
paper awards will be selected as well.

		Submission Deadline:December 15th, 1995
		Acceptance Notification: January 15th, 1996
		Camera-Ready Copies: March 1st, 1996

Exhibits

An exhibition will be held in the area, where the participants are having
coffee during the breaks. There will be a special exhibition section for
universities and non-profit organizations, and a special section for
publishers and commercial stands. If you would like to participate in the
exhibition, please contact the European Office.

Venue
Set within several acres of wooded gardens yet only a few minutes from
the city centre, Robinson College, offers facilities found in a modern
hotel. It owes its foundation to Sir David Robinson who founded Robinson
rentals, one of the first television rental companies. Building began in
1977 and Her Majesty the Queen officially opened the college in 1981.
