                         Call for Participation

The meeting is the fourth in a serie of workshops dedicated to
Parallel Image Analysis. Previous editions took place in Paris in June
1991, in Ube (Japan) in December 1992 and in Washington DC in June
1994.

The Workshop will be held on December 7-8, 1995, organized at
Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon, France. It will consist of invited
and contributed papers on models, algorithms, and architectures for
parallel image analysis.

The conference will include:
   o Invited talks
        | Azriel Rosenfeld (University of Maryland, USA)
Pyramid algorithms for detecting image primitives:
	     some variations
        | Steven Tanimoto (University of Washington at Seattle, WA, USA)
Parallel image analysis algorithms for applications
	     in digital libraries
o Contributed papers from the parallel image analysis community
   o Vendors and Academic presentations
   o Social activities

A selection of the best papers will be published in a special issue of
the International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial
Intelligence.
