I looked at the list of the world's most powerful computing centres, and
I found only one 1024 node machine, which was at Los Alamos National Lab.

Also there is a 896 node machine at the Minnesota Supercomputing Centre.

I was certain that there was another 1024 node machine, but it seems to have
gone missing.... =:]

The architecture is good for 16K nodes, and the logical limit is in the 
millions of nodes.
