[mod note: Edited to fit in 80 columns.]

This is the first WPVM version with fixed bugs. As you can see, there are few
fixed bugs because I have received few bug reports: I hope that means WPVM is
stable, and ready to be used intensively. In the last weeks WPVM (32 bits)
have been intensively tested with NAS benchmarks and it behaves very good.
With 'very good' I mean is error free and very interesting performance results.

SUMMARY
---------
WPVM (Windows Parallel Virtual Machine) is a software package that permits a
heterogeneous collection of MS Windows computers hooked together by a network
to be used as a single large parallel computer. WPVM is based on the original
PVM package (version 3.3.0) from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. WPVM
machines can coexist in a virtual machine with UNIX computers running the Oak
Ridge original PVM.

Using and distributing WPVM:
WPVM may not be used for commercial or industrial purposes without a prior
license agreement with the author.
Beside that, WPVM may be used for any other purposes at no cost. In may be
distributed by any means, provided that the original files as supplied by the
author remain intact and no charge is made other than for reasonable
distribution costs.
You do not need to register or buy a license in order to use WPVM for
non-commercial uses.
WPVM may be made available on any archive or BBS system, although I would
appreciate people to fill in the form with general data, before download it
from the official Web site.
This is very important to me in order I can gain insight on what kind of
people/organizations are interested in using the package.

FIXED BUGS:
------------

1- Now you can spawn locally, (in each host), more than 10 processes.
(actually you are limited to ~45)
2- When the virtual machine lost connection with one host, master and slave
daemons behave now in a stable way.
3- Some small interface problems are now fixed.

WPVM PROBLEMS:
--------------
However people have successfuly run the WPVM daemon in NT workstations, it
does not run in NT server.
Nevertheless, WPVM runs ok in other MS Windows 32 bits environments.
In future releases, when I have a 32 bit debugger, that bug will be fixed.
For now, if you want to play with WPVM on NT, you can try 16 bits version: It
runs well in that environment.
