The old FAQ sort of exists on Steve's still active parlib server.

I am working with Steve and others on a new FAQ and when my turn to
moderate the group comes around, we'll have a new FAQ (drafts of which
are on comp.sys.super for no good reason). Among other things, we are
going to encourage that people start using a news interface rather than
the old mailing list (this warning is mostly for people in Europe: GET
NEWS SOFTWARE, get off the old mailing list, or at least use a smart
mail system with Kill files so that we can actively post the new FAQ).
The new FAQ lists:

See parlib.
        parlib@hubcap.clemson.edu
It's like netlib. To start, send the mail daemon
        send index
in with the body or Subject field of the message.

At this time (June 1995), the index (minus the help) is:

bibliographies - Bibliographies available through parlib or ftp.
butterfly Example programs for Butterfly
connection-machine Connection machine examples
cray example programs for various Cray products.
faq Frequently asked questions and (with any luck) answers.
