Hello,

I am working in the field of robotics or "reactive computing".

I am trying to find information or references about "distributed
communicating process dynamic reconfiguration models".

In other words:
Take one of many popular distributed environments that allows you
to use some sort of interconnected compute resources (Workstations+LAN,
Transputers+Links etc), and a lot of software modules running on
these resources. At run time the communication connections between the
software modules needs to changed (in response to any "decision" made
by any module)....
This requires some sort of model for the control - who makes the
decisions? who performs the reconfiguration, what mechanisms/paradigms
are useful and sensible to achieve this?

Anybody working in this area, or if you know of work in this area -
please let me know!
I'm looking for any documentation (at any level) on this subject.

Sam Harrison.
