Hi there!

I'm in the last year (hopefully) of my MSc in Computer Science.
Currently, I'm taking an introductory parallel computing course, as a
part of which we are to give short presentations of different parallel
computers. My idea was to present one that doesn't actually exist
just yet, so I checked out the Intel web page for some data. There
wasn't much there, just how much faster the thing would be as compared
to what we have today. I was wondering if any of you guys out there
have any down-to-earth, hard-core, silicon-and-copper technical
information for me. I need to know things like what architecture it
will have, SIMD/MIMD/whatever, caching strategies, load balancing...
That stuff. Also, they said it was proposed to have 9000 P6
processors. Anyone got any data on that? Also, are they going to use
the P6 itself, or some slightly modified version? A transputer?
Thanks for any hands lent to a struggling undergraduate.

MVH,

/Uffe
