We have made an alpha-distribution available of the Orca parallel
language for Solaris 2 on SPARC workstations. The distribution can be
obtained through the following URL:

	http://www.cs.vu.nl//vakgroepen/cs/orca.html

The distribution includes source files for a compiler, runtime system,
example application programs, and a performance visualization tool.

Orca is an easy to use, type-secure language for writing parallel
applications that run on distributed-memory machines (multicomputers
and networks of workstations). It has been used successfully for a
large number of applications. More information on Orca (including
research papers) can also be obtained through the above URL.
