Mississippi State University invites applicants for a Research
Assistant I (non-tenure) position in its NSF Engineering Research
Center for Computational Field Simulation. The successful candidate
will have significant experience in the area of high performance
computing, with particular knowledge of message passing parallel
programming, C, C++, Fortran, threads, and use of real parallel
systems. Knowledge of numerical algorithms and parallel libraries is
desirable but not required.

The work will require programming of high performance and realtime
message passing parallel computers, as well as working on leading edge
system software for high performance computers and networks of
workstations.

Work will include efforts on sub-contracts to government contractors
who have a US government requirement for US citizenship, so US

Requirements: MS in Computer Science, or a closely related field, or
BS plus three years' experience. Salary is competitive and
commensurate with degree and experience.

Interested persons should submit a complete resume with names and
addresses of three references to:

                        Dr. J. Donald Trotter
                        NSF Engineering Research Center
                        P.O. Box 6176 Mississippi State, MS 39762

Applications will be accepted through 9/30/95 or until the position is
filled. MSU is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer.
Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
