	ICA3PP-96	CALL FOR PAPERS

	===========================================================

	IEEE Second International Conference on
	Algorithms and Architectures for
	Parallel Processing

	Singapore

	June 11-13, 1996

	-----------------------------------------------------------

The successful inaugural ICA3PP event was held in Brisbane,
Australia, in April 1995. The second conference is being
organised by IEEE Singapore in collaboration with the
Department of Information Systems & Computer Science,
	National University of Singapore.

	TOPICS
	------

ICA3PP aims to establish itself as a high-quality
international forum for discussion in the areas of parallel
processing, distributed computing, and other related
high-performance topics. It will therefore be of interest to
	scientists, researchers, engineers, and practitioners.
Typical, but not exclusive topics of interest are:

	- parallel architectures and systems
	- parallel algorithms
	- parallel programming languages
	- parallel programming environments and debugging
	- distributed operating systems
	- resource management
	- scheduling and workload management
	- performance evaluation
	- parallel I/O systems and interconnection networks
	- theoretical frameworks for designing parallel systems
        - applications and tools

The scientific program will include a number of invited
talks in addition to the presentations of the accepted
papers. The ICA3PP-96 proceedings will be published by
	IEEE Press.

	SUBMISSIONS
	-----------

Prospective authors are invited to send *five* copies of
their full papers to the following address:

		Benjamin Lian, ICA3PP-96
Dept of Information Systems & Computer Science
		National University of Singapore
		Lower Kent Ridge Road
		Singapore 0511
		Republic of Singapore

Papers must describe original, previously unpublished
research, be written and presented in English, and not
exceed 20 pages (A4 or letter format, 12 point type), and
not be simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere.
The cover page should include the title of the paper, full
names of the authors, affiliations, a short abstract,
keywords, a return mailing address, an electronic mail
address (if possible), and telephone and telefax numbers.
All papers will be reviewed internationally, so the body
of the paper must not contain references to the authors.

Proposals for tutorials (full and half-day) and special
sessions are also solicited. Your proposal should include
the lecture outline, assumed background of audience, and
vitae of presenters. Tutorials will be held on the day
before the conference, June 10, 1996.

	ABOUT SINGAPORE
	---------------

Singapore is an island-nation situated at the southern tip of the
Malaysian peninsular. It is one of the most important crossroads of
the world, and is truly a place where East and West meet, where
Chinese, Indians, Malays, and a mixture of other races live
harmoniously together. Their long-established cultures form a unique
backdrop to a clean and modern garden city.

English is the common business language and is spoken island-wide.
There is a wide variety of beautifully appointed yet reasonably-priced
hotels offering impeccable standards of Asian service and hospitality.
And few places in the world can offer such a range of delights for the
palate, with gourmet cuisine from over 30 countries available to the
	discerning gourmand.

Singapore's climate is warm and welcoming all year round. Daily
temperatures range from about 23 degC in the evenings to about 29 degC
in the day. Humidity typically ranges from 65% to 95%.
