Highlights:
-----------
ParCo '95 continues the tradition of bi-annual conferences on
Parallel Computing. This year contributors from 34 countries are
gathered to present 165 papers and posters in up to three parallel
sessions covering major topics of parallel computing in
applications, hardware and software.

Besides new views introduced by the invited speakers, the
conference also welcomes speakers from major manufacturers and
software houses such as (in alphabetical order) Convex, Cray,
Digital, IBM, Pallas, Silicon Graphics, Siemens and Sun.
Representatives of these companies will also give their
perspectives in an open panel discussion on the Future of Parallel
Processing: Environments, Languages, and Debuggers. The
conference also hosts a vendor exhibition.

Conference site:
----------------
The conference is held in Ghent, a medieval town with a famous
university, situated in the hart of Europe at a distance of 50km
from Brussels. The conference center is located in a park, near
the museum of Fine Arts and at a walking distance from the
conference restaurant. A limited number of student rooms are
available for those who registrer early. Although there is plenty
of hotel accomodation in Ghent, the hotels in the vicinity of the
congress center will be filled on a first come first serve basis,
so early booking is advised.

Social program:
---------------
The conference aims to make or renew the contacts between
researchers and industrial partners. Besides the scientific
program, room is available for informal gatherings during the
cocktails and the conference dinner, held in an ancient monastery
in the center of the city. On the cultural side, the conference
starts with a city walk, allowing the visitors to experience the
wealth of Ghent's history. The walk ends at a "historic place"
where one can savour the delicious Belgian beers. Ghent is also
known for his lace, his open minded people and the music festival
of Flanders which happens around the time of the conference.

Email and internet access
-------------------------
Email is permanently available in the congress center and at the
student rooms. At the conference site a 256 Kb/s internet link
will allow participants to organize demos from their home base.

Conference Office
-----------------
All correspondence related to the conference should be directed to the ParCo95
Conference office.
