A three year fully funded studentship sponsored by the 
Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is available to undertake 
research towards a PhD jointly within the Parallel Processing 
Research Group, Department of Computer Science, University of 
Sheffield, and the Health and Safety Laboratory, Sheffield, UK. 

Applicants must posses a relevant degree at 1st, 2-1 honours or 
Master level to a UK University standard, or equivalent.

The project will investigate:

"Industrial-strength techniques for analysing safety aspects of 
computer control systems using Coloured Petri-nets".
