Being relatively new to parallel processing architectures and algorithms,
could you please explain to me what `global termination' is, precisely?

If I think it means asking all parallel sections of the same program being
asked to stop what they are doing, could not this be acheived by message
passing between small `executives' that manage the individual parallel
sections?

Thanks for any help.

Best regards.
