The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Department at
Ohio University invites applications for two tenure track faculty
positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The
positions begin in either September 1995 or January 1996.

The EECS department, consisting of approximately 32 faculty members,
is the largest department in the College of Engineering and offers
B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs. The current external research funding
in the department is over $3.5 million, and Ohio University was
recently designated a research II institution by the Carnegie
Foundation. Research opportunities are enhanced by an excellent
department and university research infrastructure. Active research
programs in the Computer Science division include Parallel and
Distributed Computing, Multimedia Information Systems,
Internetworking, Algorithms and Complexity Theory. In addition to
these areas, the department seeks to establish research programs in
Software Engineering, Operating Systems, AI, Databases and Computer
Graphics.

Applicants with a good publication record in any of the above areas
are strongly encouraged to apply at appropriate levels. Rank and
salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Senior applicants
must demonstrate a history of research funding. The screening of
applications will begin in the Summer of 1995 and we expect to
interview in September.

Please send a copy of your resume, a one page research plan, and a
list of three references to:
