We hereby announce the availability of a Technology Watch
report on MPI:

     MPI: A Message Passing Interface Standard
       History, Overview and Current Status
               by Joel Malard.

These technology watch reports are intended to be summaries of the
present status in key areas of current technology. EPCC will produce
one of these reports every three months. Also available in the current
series is:

           High Performance Fortran
       History, Overview and Current Status
             by Harvey Richardson.

These Technology Watch reports are available in HTML or Postscript

Also of interest to the MPI community is the availability of an MPI
course. The course comes complete with student notes, trainer`s notes
and slides. The course has been successfully run several times within
