Hello,

We are looking for a PD Cholesky parallel solver for sparse SPD (symmetric
positive definite) finite element systems (incompressible fluid applications
in primitive U,P variables. Penalization ==> high condition number). We
would like to install it on a four-node SP-2 machine which has MPL and the
BLACS. If anything is available for another system, such as PVM, we wouldn't
mind porting it. We are aware of CAPSS, written for iPSC/860 available
on http://www.netlib.org/scalapack/, but we would prefer something less
machine specific.

Also, we are interested if anyone has done a good comparison of iterative
and direct solvers.

A summary will be posted if we get enough responses.

Thanks in advance,
Erik
