CHEP-Computing in High Energy Physics - is the largest international meeting
which brings together the High Energy Physics Community, Computer Scientists
and Computing Professionals, and representatives of the Computing Industry.

The Conference will be held September 18-22, 1995 in the Hotel Gloria in 
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

It is organized jointly by the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory
(FERMILAB), Batavia, USA and the Laboratorio de Cosmologia e Fisica
Experimental de Altas Energias (LAFEX/CBPF), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

This Conference normally attracts about 500 participants from all over the
world. It has been held at approximately 18 month intervals, each time in a
different country, attempting to rotate between Europe, North America and other
parts of the world. The recent history of the conference series is:

      CHEP89 - Europe - Oxford, UK, April/89
      CHEP90 - North America - Santa Fe, USA, April/90
      CHEP91 - Asia - Tsukuba, Japan, March/91
      CHEP92 - Europe - Annecy, France, September/92
      CHEP94 - North America - San Francisco, USA, April/94

This bulletin is the first of several bulletins which will keep you informed
about registration, travel, submission of papers, and the evolution of the
program which is being planned for the 5 day conference.


SUBMISSION OF PAPERS AND ABSTRACTS: 

Contributed papers will be presented in parallel Sessions. Prospective authors 
of papers are invited to submit a 100 word abstract and a 500 word summary. 
As habitually in conferences, the abstract must include the authors' names, 
affiliations and complete addresses, telephone number, fax, and electronic 
mail address (in internet format). 

Papers will be selected for either oral or poster presentation. All papers 
selected for the conference, including poster papers, will be included in 
the proceedings of the conference. 

Abstracts and summaries should be submitted, via internet, to CHEP95@FNAL.GOV 
by May 24, 1995.

More information on submitting abstracts and summaries and on preparation of 
the paper will be contained in the next bulletin.
