                               C S M A
              Computer Simulation Modeleling & Analysis

This is to announce a new fully electronic journal devoted to all topics
in computer simulation. There is no fee for accessing the journal or its
contents. To view the journal, you must have access to a World Wide Web
(WWW) client program such as Netscape or Mosaic. The URL is:

      http://piranha.eng.buffalo.edu/simulation

CSMA is advised by the Advisory Board, edited by the Editors, and
submissions are reviewed by members of the Editorial Board.
The purpose of CSMA is to allow simulationists to see each others work
in a timely manner since preprints of papers often take a considerable
amount of time when sent to an archival journal. In every sense, CSMA
is an experiment because we feel that we need to explore ways of allowing
simulationists to produce fully interactive multimedia simulation documents
and demonstrations. These types of "documents" are not possible with
print media so we need an exploration vehicle; CSMA serves as that
vehicle.

When you access the above document, please click on "charter" to see the
overall view and direction of CSMA. Here are some key attributes of CSMA
worth noting:

1) There are no volumes or issues. CSMA is a "living" document with access
to archives of quality documents. Currently, the technical submission
archives are empty, and they will be filled in accordance with the
method defined in the "charter." If you want to reference a CSMA document,
you will use the document identification number and date (along with
   authors and title).

2) Initially, you must browse CSMA as you do with other WWW documents; however,
we are designing an intelligent agent method to give you the type of
simulation information that you specify, and the period of delivery.

3) In addition to online refereeing of submissions, we have also instrumented
an "anonymous review form" where any reader may give comments on a
submission. There is no automatic tabulation method in place, but that
   is forthcoming.
