				CALL FOR PAPERS

			9th International Workshop on

			DISTRIBUTED ALGORITHMS (WDAG-9)

			Le Mont Saint Michel, France,

			   September 13 - 15, 1995

Following the successful Workshops on Distributed Algorithms in
Ottawa (1985), Amsterdam (1987), Nice (1989), Bari (1990), Delphi
(1991), Haifa (1992), Lausanne (1993), and Terschelling (1994), the
Ninth Int. Workshop on Distributed Algorithms will be held in Le Mont
Saint Michel, France, in 1995.

The workshop covers distributed algorithms for computing and operating
systems and is devoted to the presentation of new research results and
the identification of future research directions in this area. The
workshop will be held in Le Mont Saint Michel, a very famous and
beautiful place located on the northern coast of Britanny in France.

Papers are solicited describing original results in all areas of
distributed algorithms and their applications, including, but not
restricted to (all these areas are considered equally important by the
Program Committee):

  - Algorithms for control and communication

  - Fault-tolerant algorithms

  - Network protocols

  - Protocols for real-time distributed systems

  - Issues in asynchrony, synchrony and real-time

  - Algorithms for managing replicated data

  - Distributed detection of properties

  - Mechanisms for security in distributed systems

  - Self-stabilizing algorithms

  - Wait-free algorithms

  - Techniques for the design and analysis of systems

Intended contributors are invited to submit 15 copies of their paper
to one of the Program co-chairs.

Submissions must not exceed 15 pages, with roughly 35 lines/page.
Submissions not conforming with these guidelines will not be
considered. Please include a 150 word abstract, 5 keywords, and
address, e-mail, fax/telephone number of a corresponding author.
Submissions by e-mail are not accepted.

Proceedings will be published in the series Lectures Notes in
Computer Science of Springer-Verlag. There is a limit of 15 pages for
a paper in the proceedings.

Important dates:

Submission of papers: April 21, 1995

	Acceptance notification: June 10, 1995

	Camera-ready version: July 1, 1995

Papers received after the submission deadline will not be considered.
