Hi, this message concerns the massively parallel computing field.
My main concern is also to define the problems (on an international
level and particulary about the japanese perspectives because of their
recent great developments) in the middle and long run.
I'm looking for informations or references about these folowing points
 :=20

- the networks aspects : which developments should be planned ?
(optical support?)
- developments in the field of operating systems ?
- program and software tools are available for programs to write
parallel algorithms=CA?
- the use of massive parallel machines today and which are the future
use prospects in a long run?
- applications ? Are they numerous ?
- the most demanding fields
- projects develop as to the setting up of multimedia servers within
the frame of "on-line" multimedia applications for the general public
- the current developments in the field of database management systems
for parallel applications
- perception of the market and development of technology do the makers
have
- Of what does the future of parallel machines depend -in terms of
software evolutions ?
- In general, which developments will be achieved in a middle run ?

Thanks in advance,
