There are actually quite a few parallel processor designers and
vendors in the European region; as to which is "the major" could
provide much debate ...

Parsys Ltd has developed a range of machines, the largest of which has
a scalable fully worm-hole routed network of up to 2048 processors, designed
in collaboration with a couple of other European parallel processing
companies and institutions (e.g. CERN).

We have our products installed at a wide range of sites --- if you
would like further details, then just mail me.

Cheers

Andy Hipperson.

(A survey of current super/parallel computers and their manufacturers
can be found in the file "mp-computers.ps" (or "mp-computers.ps.Z" which
is in the benchmark directory of netlib archives (e.g. in
/netlib/benchmark at unix.hensa.ac.uk).

:
: Parsytec as the major European vendor of parallel systems
: is now running a www-server under www.parsytec.de (ip 192.166.39.34
: name resolution will take some more days). You might want to have a look there.
