I am interested in parallel/network processing for a Sun network of
about 20 machines at U.C. Berkeley Physics department.

I looked into Condor a while back, but only one user was interested, and
I did not have the time to work on the details. I have been told that
Condor is much improved lately, and might look into that again.

I also remember seeing a reference to commercial Linda, and the possibility
that a free version exists. If anyone has any pointers to these, they would
be appreciated.

Being a University site, we would probably get a decent discount on the
commercial version. I am always interested in freeware, however, and
would love to hear about a free version of Linda.

Thanks in advance,
