Hello,
suppose you get a MB/s real time data stream (multispectral satellite
images) that needs low level processing (smoothing, alignment,
combination, fft, all kinds of data reduction). Suppose you have the money
around to buy a small SMP array or similar. Should we rather by many
C40/80 signal processor boards or rather something like a SGI SMP ?

Thanks for your input,
  Henrik

PS: Processing doesn't need to be fully synchronous, it just has to be
    onine.
