Hi,

perhaps you take a look at the latest release of Condor. This package
contains a checkpointing library for standalone processes. Since
version 5.6 they support Solaris and Linux.

Another package you might take into consideration is CoCheck. Similar
to MPVM it allows the migration of processes. It also allows you to
create checkpoints. It supports all PVM versions > 3.3.3.
The port to Solaris and Linux is currently done.
