Hi there,

I think the man page should be updated to explicitly state the following:
the "actual size" returned by pvm_precv() is in BYTES, not (necessarily)
elements, unlike the specified length which is the "length of buffer (in
multiple of data type size)." 

The difference between len and alen is subtle (partly because of the naming).
This should definitely be documented, even in the PARAMETERS section!
