Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) is the software package for developing
parallel programs executable on parallel and distributed Unix
computers. Versions for networked PCs (Windows) are also available.
With PVM, homogeneous and heterogeneous networks of Computers can be
programmed as one single supercomputer.

This conference covers PVM, its applications, programming environments,
tools, fast networks and enhancements. Tutorials on programming in PVM
and tools for PVM are also covered as well as round tables, posters,
vendor sessions and exhibits. Invited lectures will be given on the
relation between PVM and MPI as well as on the newest developments in
PVM Version 3.4. This conference is the third in a series of annual
European meetings of PVM users. It is addressed to persons interested
in parallel and distributed programming as well as to specialists in
parallel PVM-software.

The first European PVM Users' Group Meeting was held in 1994 at the
University of Rome, Italy, the second at ENS Lyon, France in 1995.
This third European PVM Users' Group Meeting will provide an
opportunity for European users of PVM and other programming
environments to meet each other in 1996, share ideas and experiences,
and meet some of the members of the PVM Team.
