I've been trying to build PVM 3.3.11 on a R4400 Indigo2 IRIX 6.2
machine without any luck. I get all sorts of compile warnings
like
"../pvmd.c", line 845: warning(1116): non-void function "wrk_fds_init"
(declared at line 837) should return a value
  }
and then at the end
        cc -O -DCLUMP_ALLOC -I../../include -DARCHCLASS=\"SGI64\"
-DIMA_SGI64 -DSYSVSIGNAL -DRSHCOMMAND=\"/usr/bsd/rsh\" -DNOWAIT3 -64
-TENV:large_GOT=ON -woff 1174 -DHASSTDLIB -o pvmd3 ddpro.o pvmfrag.o
host.o hoster.o imalloc.o mesg.o nmdclass.o pkt.o pvmalloc.o pvmarchc.o
pvmcruft.o pvmd.o pvmdabuf.o pvmlog.o sdpro.o startup.o task.o tdpro.o
waitc.o
ld64: FATAL 9: I/O error (/usr/lib64/crt1.o): No such file or directory
cc ERROR: /usr/lib64/cmplrs/ld64 returned non-zero status 1
*** Error code 1 (bu21)
*** Error code 1 (bu21)

What gives? Does the makefile need tweaking? I thought we had
installed all of 6.2 or is something missing from our machine?

All help will be appreciated.

BTW, PVM built just fine on IRIX5, HP-UX 9, AIX 4, and SUN4.
