Does PVM tend to chew up virtual memory?

I'm developing a simulation and have been using PVM quite a bit.
Most of the development work is being done on a single SGI Indy
(SGI5) running IRIX 5.3 with 64Meg RAM and ~120Meg virtual memory.
I noticed that the virtual memory is decreasing by just a bit each
day, until it gets down to roughly 15Meg or so. Then other jobs
start to complain about the lack of virtual memory and running out
of swap space.

Rebooting the machine tends to free up all the memory. But I end
up having to do this every few weeks and I don't think my sys Admins
are real happy about that.

Is PVM doing this or should I start looking at other memory pig
apps like Netscape? Would the fact that we're tied into that
funky /tmp_mnt SGI LAN have anything to do with it?
