One problem that I have had with PVM 3.3.10 under AIX 4.1 is that PVM
does not handle the PVM hosts file when starting the pvmd. It works
OK if the first pvmd is started on a different PVM arch. The lack of
PVM hosts file is especially bad with AIX because the ksh does not read
any of the shell configuration files upon startup (ie .login or .profile)
so it is not possible to set them at the startup of the shell. It is
also not possible (or at least I'm not aware of it) to start a shell
other than ksh as the login shell, although it is possible to exec a
csh overtop of the ksh from within your .profile.

If anyone know differently, I would be happy to hear about it.

Cheers, Andreas.
