Here's the situation:

We are using PVM on a variety of workstations we have scattered around
campus. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of machines sharing the same
file system. We have about 4 different architectures with 3 different
file systems (argh!). We want to try and simplify the steps needed for
an individual user to setup for PVM and the steps needed to compile software.
Right now the user must setup 3 accounts and compile each program on 4.

Any insight? Ideally we'd like to require a user to have an account only
on one of the systems (perhaps using some sort of proxy account on the
remaining systems?). Maybe we could setup a shared NFS partition and
find some compiler that could compile for the different architectures in
one swoop?

Thanks in advance!
