Here are my notes for setting up WPVM:

===========================================================
Setting Up WPVM

   All host names are fully qualified addresses;
   All entries specify the path (with drive name) for the demon;
   All entries contain both the lo option with user name and "pw" or
"so=pw", even though WPVM
will treat the pw options as errors;
   Every time a new host is added, go to "Initialize the demon" and set
the user name and password
for that host, before trying to add that host.
   Win hosts to be added should be set up on "listen". Of course, the
master should be set as
"master".
   If switching between modes (i.e., "listen", "master", "slave", etc.),
go through "stopped" first (in
most cases, it won't work unless one does this).
   When a "listener" is added, it becomes a "slave".
   Make sure any (Unix) PVM host to be added does not have pvmd running.
If it is running, the operation fails.
=====================================

Good luck.
Tudor
