PVM essentially does a "rsh (remsh) remotehost pvmdpath" to start the
daemon on a remote host. The pvmdpath is $PVM_ROOT/lib/pvmd unless you
change it in the host file. Have you tried that to make sure? Were
there any error messages in the pvml.xxx file?
