Hello, I think this was discussed recently, but unfortunately
the postings have expired on our site.

I have recently upgraded PVM to 3.3.10 on our RS6K and RS6KMP
systems, and the system administrators have upgraded AIX to
version 4.1. Now it seems that the pvm console will not read
any configuration info from the hostfile specified on the
command-line. Someone else also mentioned this problem, and
related it to moving from AIX 3.x to AIX 4.x. Was there ever
a solution posted for solving this problem?

I've tried starting the pvm console directly (not using the
shell script), but even with this, the result is always the
same: pvm starts on the local system, does not have the
speed, ep, and dx set. This is especially important for
RS6K systems, since it is not possible to specify these
parameters on the command line, and as a result it is not
possible to add any other RS6K systems.

Thanks for any information on this problem.

Cheers, Andreas.
