Does your version for AIX 3.2.5 use the hostfile (the same hostfile)
without problames?

If it's this, I can't help you.

If doesn't, try to start the pvmd with the hostfile parameter, instead of
the PVM console. This is because the console doesn't print any error
message when the hostfile has errors, such as a username after the
hostname whithout the lo= option, or things like that.

I hope it'll help you.
