Dear PVM user:

I am having difficulty on configuring the virtual machine.
If I run pvm manual and try to add a host. I am getting the message

Can't start pvmd

I have read the manual thorougly and have checked following things
- I have .rhosts file set
- All the environment variables ($PVM_ROOT) set correctly
- No prompt message in .cshrc file

Also I am able to
- Start pvmd process manualy on other host
- Also run program in master slave environment using "only
one machine"
- This shows that PVM is installed correctly and be reached

Also if I type

% rsh ursa pvmd -s
[pvmd pid41322] slave_config: bad args
[pvmd pid41322] pvmbailout(0)

if I type
% rsh ursa pvmd
/tmp/aaa7H6Aqa

(A socket address probably) (ursa is a name of another machine)

Please help me in this regard.

Also I tried using xpvm and put the names in .xpvm_hosts. If
I try to add the host it says ERROR: cannot add the host

Please help me in this regard. Email me at this address:
