Hi,

I have several problems using PVM with Linux (current version 1.3.35,
but also with 1.1.x, 1.2.x). I can't add other Linux hosts to the VM.
The daemon on the remote machine is launched, but wont connect to
the master PVM daemon. The log on the remote host shows the message

[t80140000] ready 3.3.9 Thu Nov  9 11:32:58 1995
[t80140000] netinput() recvfrom(netsock): Connection refused
[t80140000] netinput() recvfrom(netsock): Connection refused
...

Starting PVM as root eliminates the problem. I read all (?) related
man pages but could not find a pointer how to change privileges.

I'm using the slackware 3.0 distribution.

TIA,

~gernot
