I'm using pvm3.3.9. The following problem has me perplexed.

I am able to start pvmd from a SUNOS machine ... and add Solaris hosts.
I am unable to start pvmd from a Solaris machine ... I get

[t80040000] ready  3.3.9   Mon Sep 25 16:16:03 1995
[t80000000] pl_startup() pvmd@cbi4: EOF
[t80040000] startack() host cbi4 expected version
[t80000000] pl_startup() pvmd@cbi4: EOF
[t80040000] startack() host cbi4 expected version

The FAQ tells me to run:
   rsh cbi4 '$PVM_ROOT/lib/pvmd -s'

and that I should get only the error message "slave_config: bad args".
This is the only message that I see. Unfortunately, that doesn't tell
me anything.

NOTE that when I force pvm to invoke rexec rather than rsh (by using
so=pw), then the remote Solaris host starts (but cannot seem to
communicate with the other processes).

I would really appreciate any suggestions!
