I am running PVM3.3.9 on Solaris (Arch = SUN4SOL2). I have done
whatever the manual says like configuring my .cshrc to set up
PVM_ROOT and PVM_ARCH which I made sure will be set by rsh all
the related machines and echoing $PVM_ROOT/$PVM_ARCH and they
are correct. No problems with the .rhost file either can rsh
from any of my hosts to any other of them. However if I try to
start the virtual machine by using pvm command and then using
add hostname this will fail and the following is dumped into the
log of the local demon:

[t80040000] ready  3.3.4   Thu Sep 21 17:20:56 1995
[t80000000] pvmd@MYHOST: PVM_ROOT: Undefined variable.^J <<< WHY????
[t80000000] pl_startup() pvmd@MYHOST: EOF
[t80040000] startack() MYHOST expected version
[t80040000] dm_halt() from (LOCALHOST), halting...
[t80040000] work() pvmd halting
[t80040000] pvmbailout(0)

Thanks a lot for your help.
