Is there any reason for which the option so=ms for
manual startup may not work here?

I have this hostfile:
-----------------------------
machine1.cs.purdue.edu
machine2.cs.purdue.edu so=ms
machine3.cs.purdue.edu so=ms

When I try pvm hostafile it just start pvmd in machine1
and does nothing in the others - no msg-
I just got this in the log:

[t80040000] ready 3.3.9 Fri Sep 22 01:26:14 1995

Any suggestions?
