After some work in a distributed message passing environment, it is
easy to see how difficult the debugging and performance analysis of
a parallel program can be. I am conducting a survery on what types
of things parallel programmers would find helpful to monitor (such
as message size, length, travel time, etc.). It does not matter
whether or not such a measurement is currently possible since this
will hopefully be a list to work toward in the future.

So, if you have any suggestions on which items would be good to keep
track of, please e-mail me. In your response please include the
reasoning behind such suggestions, unless extremely obvious.

Thanks in advance, all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

					Cade.
