We're using IBM's PVMe on our 40-node SP2, and of course the above
sounds intriguing to us. I have a couple of questions:

1. We have asked our local IBM rep. what "MPI-F" might be. We're guessing
that it is simply the MPI library, which was recently announced as part
of Parallel Environment V2R1. Is that correct ?

2. The MPI library is only available for AIX 4.1, and our SP2 runs
AIX 3.2.5. Is there any solution in this case (we'll upgrade to
4.1 at a later date, when that software level is reported by IBM
customers to be stable, it's often good to be a bit conservative :-).

With best regards,
