Hello.
I recently ran into a very sever problem with pvm/pvmd. I an using a
non-homogenous pvm cluster which is made of one DEC Alpha 3000/500 (OSF2.0)
and the rest are SGI indy workstations. I am using the DEC as the master
and that is where i initiate the pvm cluster from. It is also where the
master side of my program runs (the slaves on the SGIs). The master-slave
progrm works fine, no complaints there.

The problem arizes in the "HALT"ing from ~/pvm3/lib/pvm. This leads
to sparatic behavious. Sometimes it will halt all the other daemons,
sometimes only some, etc... and when you have a substantial number of
machines going from host to host, and manually killing the pvmd and deleting
the /tmp/pvm* can become quite dedious, and agrevating.

Can someone pleast tell me what might be causing this problem, and what
solutions there might be.

Thanks in advance.
