I have a requirement for a version of PVM to use for developing code
on a shared system. In the immediate future, this is Solaris 2, but
it may change. I want it to have the following characteristics:

    1) No support for inter-host connexions.
    2) (Say) 3 shared memory segments per daemon (if appropriate).
    3) A fixed limit on the number of tasks spawnable by that daemon.
    4) Restrained use of TCP connexions (e.g. at most 2 per task).

Has anyone built such a beast? Note that I have NO interest in the
actual parallelism, though hooks for performance analysis would still
be useful. This would be for development only.
