OK, we had the same problem. There was a very simple solution.
If you want to use the FDDI you have to login at the machine-fd
and then add the machine-fd. If you don't do this PVM will use
the default network of your pool. And if this is Ethernet all
communication uses the Ethernet. So set the default network to
FDDI or login at machine-fd.
