Well, I tried to run distributed computation on FDDI and Token Ring.
Each machine in our Distributed Systems Lab has 3 LAN interfaces
Ethernet (machine-en), Token Ring (machine-tr) and FDDI (machine-fd)

I had trouble adding these machines to my host pool.
When I said, add machine-fd, PVM would complain that it could not start
PVM (the std error message). Once or twice it actually added these machines
to the host pool. So, a host pool would actually show a machine-fd
but all traffic still went through Ethernet !!!

Basically, I have not been succesful in using other LANs (other than
Ethernet). I do not know if I am doing anything wrong.
